SCOW STRUCK BY A HURRICANE
_-§ I [per press association.] GTSBORNE, April 21. Tho scow Magic, from Grey month, had a perilous experience. She ran into a north-west gale at Capo I'alliser, and had the top of her foremast carried .away. The Magic was blown 120 miles out to sea. by tho hurricane, which lasted three days. A tremendously heavy sea was running, and the deck cargo had to be jettisoned to lighten the vessel. The deck was continually awash. The crew had a very trying experience.
