Mr and Mrs R. Davis, of Green Meadows, are at present on a visit to .Mr and Mrs .Jamieson, in tho K.ara. road. . The Rev. J. A. Mackenzie left here on Friday. It was decided to iiokl weekly assemblies, commencing on tho 13th instant, during the winter season. A cricket mulch will be played here next Saturday between Fo.xton and Shannon. A return match with the Druids has -also been arranged. PERSONAL ITEMS. Air Gibb, son "of the Rev. Dr. Gibb, of Wellington, who has been appointed miv-sio'iiei' in charge <>i Shannon and Tokomaru, preached his first sermon here to a large congregation on Sunday. Our local chemist, Mr F. W.
