A committee mooting was hold in tho Weraroii Town Hall on Tuesday night, in connection with tho Anglican Church to bo erected at Wnraroa. The vicar, the Mev. S. 0. Comiitou, jirosided. .Mr l'\ G. Moo was appointed tioa.surer and Mr W. AV. Smithson soerotary. l«o----fovcuco was mado by tho vicar 'and others as to the. proposed site for the building, but as yet nothing hn.s been definitely decided _on. Donations are coming to hand i.n a very satisfactory manner, it having boon felt for a long time past tli.it a church was needed. Tin* men's committee is doing its utmost to 'attain tho great object, the ladies are also working very hard, anrd making up pretty and useful .articles for a Imaar, which it is proposed to hold in the early part -of November of this year. Donations of any kind will bo thankfully received, either monetary or otherwise. On Sunday, the 17th April, there, will bo harvest festival thanksgiving services held, at 11 a.m. Amd .at 7 p.m.- Fuller notice of these will appear later. Mr Hankin.s has kindly consented to sell the products from the festival, on the Monday evening following the service. Toe proceeds will be devoted, to the. building fund. The churchwardens '.suggest that whiMi it, is considered •that there are ninety Suudav school scholars on the register atWernma if evident to any rightthinking person that something '■bould be done for their comfort.
