A HOCKEY CLUB ASTIR.

ROVERS , ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Rovers Hockey Club was liekl on Thursday night, in Messrs Smart and Thome's offices. There was a good attendance of members, and four new ones wore elected. The report and balance-sheet, which showed the club to be in a good position, wore read and tadopted. The members arc looking forward to another .successful year, and have high hopes of annexing the Glackin Cup. The following officers were elected : President, Mr J. Deaji ; vicepresidents, Messrs C. S. Keedwell, F. J. Glackin and A. T. Fenton (roelected); captain Mr A. Tliorne (re-elected); vice-captain, Mr A. Siilart (re-elected); secretary, MrC. Wilson (re-elocteu;; management committee, A. Thome, A. Smart, C. Wilson, C. Howe, T. Allan and G. Laurie: selection, committee, J. Dean, A. Thorne and A. Smart. Three mornings a week were set aside for practice, and members are very enthusiastic and do not intend letting last year's cup winners have a walk over. A vote of thanks to the chair and to the retiring officers closed the meeting.
