BREAKWATER PROPOSALS DEFEATED.
» LPKR PRESS ASSOCIATION. J NAPIER, March A poll was held to-day in the Napier harbour rating district on the Harbour Board's proposal to borrow £300,000 ior the completion of the breakwater harbour. The voting was as follows: — For the proposal 1963 Against 1486 ws a three-fifths majority was required, the proposal was thus lost by 10/ votes.
