A well-acted French piny was depicted in another lonp; series' of illustrations, and tho uniising experiences of a rash man vho bought a bucking donkey was provocative of hilarious enjoyment unongst the younger section of the 'ir:iprictnry's patrons. AUGUSTUS' VAUDEVILLES. About eiiihty or ninety people patronised the legedermain show in Mie Town Hall Thursday night. The ;leight-of-hand tricks, and card nanipuktions of Professor Augustus proved exceptionally entertain- ; ug to tlie audience, and lie roceiv■d good support from Miss Kelly (pianist and vocalist) and Mr HobI'lin, vocalist. A further feature -if the entertainment was the obvious enjoyment of the. proceedings manifested by the three boy assist•nits "who ca'me out from amongst the audience, on tho professor's invitation. An illustration of how to carry out somo of the card tricks was given by tho professor, and closely watched by several anions tho audience.
