WAIIvANAE STOCK SALE. Dainty and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Waikanae sale, held yesterday: —A good yardir-of both sheep and cattle came forward •"id. were inspected by a fair attendance ol buyers. 'Jim sheen wore not .so keenly competed fur as in tlu) past, and the cattle sold well. With the exemption of two "ens of aewes, we quitted the whole of our entry at the following rates:— Sheep.—Medium lambs, 5s Id to 'is (id; aged ewes, 5s to 5s 8d; jotter sorts, to 9s; good woolly lambs, 8s to Us; cull ewes, 2s- ltomiey rams, 15s, ,G1 Is to £2 Is.
Cattle -Aged cows in low condition. £1 Is; good we-ancr cows, £1 ll.s; forward cows, to CI ]s; fat 'leilers, £1 10s; fat cows, £4 15b,
Abraham and Williams, Lt- 1 report as follows:—At WajKanae on Wednesday we had a very heavy yarding of sheep, and a good yard- • 11 g ol cuttle. Buyers for sheep •vere not as keen as heretofore, except in the case of forward wethers, which sold readilv. Rut, exoent lor one line of ewes and one line •)f backward wethers, we sold the whole of our entry. The cattl" sold very well, -and tlie whole entry was sold at prices in favour of vendors. We Quote:—
