Provincial Council.

TUESDAY, 10th SEPTEMBER.

The Council met at 3 p.m., pursuant to adjournment. Present —The Speaker, Messrs. Rhodes, Irvine, Kennedy, Sutton, Tiffen, and Wood.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. . Mr. Rhodes said that it was unnecessary to inform the Council that two of their members were at the General Assembly, and many others absent. TJnder these circumstances, after arranging that the uotices on the paper should nob be allowed to lapse, he should move the ahjournment. The notices on the paper were then separately deferred till next sitting day.

Mr Rhodes moved that the Council do now adjourn to Tuesday, the Ist October. Agreed to, and the Council accordingly adjourned.
