•>' ' AUCKLAND. • ' IIVE STOCK MARKET. Mr Alfred Encklaud’s report for the week ending 16tli August:— ' At the Haymarket, on Saturday last, fodder was in average supply; and without alteration in value. 33 loads sold. Horse stock offered more numerously than for some weeks; .prices ruled low, At the Triangle, on Tuesday, a fair' supply of store cattle met with a ready sale, prices showing an improvement on late markets. Long-woolled ewes brought 27s each. At the Remuera Yards, on Thursday.’the improved demand for store cattle was sustained, particularly for young stock. A choice dairy-cow brought £18; others from £9 to £l2 os each. Tat cattle were in. short supply; 52 head sold; but last week’s prices were barely sustained.. Several pens of breeding ewes (half-breds) were sold.
