WINOOKA’S PROGRAMME
NO HURRY FOR RACES. VANCOUVER, Sept. 5. Naylor, who is here attending tho races, stated that he plans to call for a race or two for Winooka in Seattle and then go on to Chicago, where he hopes to arrange a match race for 10,000 dollars against Equipose. He also hopes to arrange a match race between Robertson anil Tolan. He states that the sprinting game seems dead in the United States. Tolan is the last hope and if negotiations fail he will send Robertson home. He is in no hurry to race Winooka, saying that it would be better if the horse is here for three or four months to bo thoroughly acclimatised. Serious workouts were given tho Australian and New Zealand contingent at Longacres track yesterday. Winooka and Pillow Fight worked together over five furlongs, the most ambitious move by either side since they returned to training. Pillow Fight was on the outside and bore out consistently on the turns. Tho pair finished in 60 4-ssecs. Breezing and Tea Trader went with Trevallion. The latter eased up at three furlongs in .'Usees., while Tea Trader went the half-mile in COsecs.
