BRITAIN’S TRADE ROUTES
NEW SHIP FOR PROTECTION MEASURES. THE “CONVOY SLOOP.” (Received 7, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 6. The “convoy sloop” is the latest experimental vessel that the navy is shortly ordering. Its size, speed and armaments are not revealed. The vessel is designed to combat small enemy trade route attackers, also submarines. It is part of the scheme to strengthen Britain’s trade routes.
