Captain J. 8. M. Ritchie, who until recently was in command of H.M.S. Dunedin, and whose term of service on the New Zealand naval station has just expired, has received the appointment of naval attache at the British Embassy at Washington, Captain Ritchie will leave Auckland on December 20th by the Aoraugi, en route for England, where he is under orders to report at the Admiralty about the end of January.
