ANTI-BRITISH CAMPAIGN
CHICAGO MANUFACTURERS LOSE ORDERS. New York, Dec. 7. Chicago reports state that Mr. John McKeown, a pronlinent business man, stated that Mayor Thompson’s anti-British campaign hag caused Chicago manufacturers to lose orders totalling 1,500,000 dollars. Mr. McKeown said he was informed by an Australian purchasing agent that a large Australian order, principally for radio equipment had been placed in America, bUt not in Chicago, find ns a result Clneago radio manufacturers are thoroughly aroused. Mr. McKeown mentioned another instance of a New Zealand business man. who said that self-respect would not permit him to buy in a city that was so thoroughly antiBritish as Chicago. Mr. McKeown added flint the same feeling was general the British dominions.. (A. and N.Z.)
