The line of pipes connecting the Hastings Power House and the Muni cipal Buildings, to the water main in Heretaunga street, having shown leakages, it has been decided to replace them on a new route from the pumps along Eastbourne and Hastings streets to the Heretaunga street connection. This will enable leakages to be dealt with in the length of nn unhnmnered wav much more easily than if they developed in pipes trnror”’"g n line underneath tho buildings.
