As there are onlv two clear Saturdays before Christmas Ere. Smith and Sharp are holding their first Christmas poultry sale to-morrow. This will give buyers an opportunity to get in early and secure their requirements before the rush. Entries include prime turkeys, ireese. ducks, cockerels, and a good entry of good table hens. A -necial entry of p.b. Rhode Island Red and Brown Leghorn pullets, also a nice hreedinp pen of p.b. Leghorn yearlings will be offered. After selling the poultry a lot of useful sundries and farm implements will be offered. The sale will commence sharp at 11 a.m.. and further entries will be taken up to that time. Anyone requiring 'Xmas poultry, geese, turkeys etc. should attend Messrs Gill Bros.’ sale to-morrow as the entries are of a very attractive nature, most of the birds being specially fattened for the ’Xmas market. The poultry sale starts at 11 a.m. promptly. Fruit and produce will be all freshly picked and the big variety will include strawberries, loganberries, green peas, new potatoes etc. Pigs are all prime, some fine porkers, weaners, slips and stores also sucking pigs filling the pens. The dairy stock are all sold with a guarantee. A lot of useful sundries, including a Ford ton truck and a Studebaker lorry should appeal to the farmer or orchardist.
