NAPIER 39.0W Ci I'll MAKES A MOVE The question of according Napiei and Hawke’s Bay more publicity was brought up at the meeting of the Napier 30,000 Club last night. Mr. Harvey moving “That the Mayor and councillors of Napier be asked to con. vene a meeting of representatives from the Napier Borough Council, Hawke’s Bay County Council, Hawke's Bay Education Board, Napier Chamber of Commerce, Hawke’s Bay Automobile Association and Thirty Thousand Club to consider the best means of inaugurating a publicity campaign by advertising the attractions of Napier and Hawke’s Bay, and thereby assisting in the development of the town and district.”
After the motion had been nut and carried. Mr. Robert P. Moore, a visitor to Napier, was introduced to the meeting. .Mr, Moore who has ha,] considerable experience in advertising, said that Hawke’s Bav should advertise its attractions more extensively. There were for example, the gannets, an excellent advertising subject. Pictures of beauty spots in the town could be circulated in railway stations, clubs and hotels with assured results, and this mefTiod would have the advantage that the only cost would be the initial outlay. After the club and members of the Borough Council had inspected photographs of the district taken by Mr. Moore, a hearty vote of thanks was extended him for the information he had given
