A recent statement that smokng increases the blood pressure led many men to regard their cigars, pipes, and cigarettes rather thoughtfully, hut doctors have a good word to say for tobacco. "Smoking does frequently raise th- blood presume slightly—but then. ..o does the telling of a joke." was tho reassuring statement made by a prominent Cordon physician to a prcxn representative.
