ARRANGEMENTS WELL IN HAND. POSSIBILITY OF SMALL PARTY ONLY. The coming visit of the Rt. Hon. L. 8. Amery to Hastings was briefly discussed at the meeting of the Hastings Borough Council last evening, when it was reported that it had been arranged that the Mayor. Councillors, Town Clerk Mr H. M. Campbell, M.P., and &r George Hunter, M.P., will be at the station to meet the party on the arrival of the express on Friday. Dec. 16, and proceed to the Theatre for the civic welcome to take place at 5 p.m. The speakers will be the Mayor, followed by Mr H. M. Campbell. M.P.. and the Rev. F. A. Bennett. The chairman (Cr. S. .T. McKee) stated that he had been informed that there was a possibility of only Mr and Mrs Amery visiting Hastings
