VALUABLE CAR STOLEN
FOUND BURNED ON ROADSIDE AUCKLAND MAN’S LOSS. (Special to “Tribune.”) Auckland, December 9. A five-seater Austin car, the property of William Doubleday, which wm stolen from outsides a petrol station in the Great South Road, at Ellerslie, on Wednesday evening. was found totally destroyed by fire m Ascot Road, Mangere. yesterday. The car was valued at £250. , Since April there has been an epidemic of burning stolen cars in Auckland. This is the fourteenth to meet this fate at the hands of joyriders. The last case of this kind I occurred towards the end of November.
