SHOOTING AFFRAY
IN HONG KONG STREET ARMED ROBBERS INTERCEPTED. MANY CASUALTIES. (Received 8, 8.40 a.m.) Hong Kong, Dec. 7. A sensational shooting affray occurred when the police intercepted a gang of armed robbers. A brisk exchange of shooting followed as the gang was chased from street to street. One Chinese constable wns killed, a British sergeant, three other Chinese and Indian constables seriously wounded. One robber was killed and two were wounded and captured.—A. and N.Z.)
