MANAGER FOR AFRICA. APPOINTMENT NEXT WEEK. Wellington, Dec. 7. The appointment of a manager for the All Black team to tour South Africa next season was considered by the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night, which decided to defer the matter for a week, when the advisability of also sending an assistant manager would be considered. In the meantime the South African Union would be asked if they would be willing to pay the expenses of an assistant manager. It was decided to have 1000 badges prepared for the use of the New Zealand team on the tour. In reply to a query from Canterbury, it was decided to inform that union that both the Wairarapa and Manawhcnua Union were entitled to have their names engraved on the Raufurlv Shield for 1027.
