WEDDING.

HARRIS—CREAGH. A very pretty and popular wedding took place at St. John’s Cathedral, Napier, this afternoon, the Very Rev Dean Mayne officiating. The bride, Norma Gethin Creagh daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Creagh, of Napier Terrace, Napier, was married to Jack Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Harns, Charlotte Crescent, Hastings. The Cathedral was decorated for the occasion, by friends of the bride with flowers in tones of white, pink, and mauve, enhanced by sprays oi greenery. The pride made a pretty picture as she came up the aisle on the arm of her father, who gave her away. The lovely frock of silver tissue, cut with an uneven hem line, the skirt being made of tiny silk net frills, all edged with silver. From shoulder io hem fell a spray of exquisite flowers which toned trom pastel pink io mauve. A floating tulle veil was held in place by rosettes of orange blossom, and a beautiful bouquet, the gift of Mrs. W. Fraser, completed the dainty ensemble. There were four bridesmaids—Miss Ruth Griffin, of Napier (chief), and Misses Molly Aitchison, Norina Giorgi, and Alarjorie Eb belt of Hastings. AU wore charming georgette frocks, made with tight bodices and full skirts, trimmed with ruchings of georgette and silver lace insets; the bodices being completed by Elizabethan collars of silver lace. From the waistlines fell sprays of hand-made flowers in the colours ot the frocks. Miss R. Griffin and Miss M. Aitchison were in mauve, and palest pink georgette was the colour worn by Misses N. Giorgi and M. Ebbett. The very original frocks were worn with hats of light silver straw, the upturned brims having a band of georgette to match the frocks, and a dagger pinned near the front. •

Instead of the customary bouquets the four attendants carried satin muffs, two of pink, and two of mauve, heavily embossed with flat hand-made flowers in pastel shades, these all being gifts from the bridegroom .

There were also two small attendants, Miss Mabel Harris, and little Douglas Harris (niece and nephew oi the bridegroom). The little girl looked very sweet in white georgette, carrying a posy. 'l'he little boy was in white satin, and he carried a white satin cushion, on which was the ring. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Claude Fatchen, of Auckland, and the groomsmen were Messrs. T. Hargreaves (Auckland), Dudley Shortt (Napier), and W. Bone (Hastings). Mr. Percy Tombs presided at the organ and played the Wedding March. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Foresters’ Hall, Napier, the decorations being carried out in a colour scheme of white mauve, and pink, and swinging baskets of fern gave a cool touch to the room. A large table in horse-shoe shape was decorated with pink and mauve sweetpeas, and tiny silver horseshoes. and in the centre was placed the beautiful wedding cake, given by the bridegroom's mother. The festivities are to be extended to this evening, when the younger members will have an informal dance in the hall. Mrs. Creagh. the bride’s mother, wore a charming American model frock, with a lace skirt, the bodice being relieved with a collar of ecru lace also a hat to tone in biscuit colouring, and an effective bouquet of red flowers Mrs. J. Harris, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing a very smart suit in tones of golden brown, and a hat of the same shade trimmed with feather sprays. A beautiful bouquet in flowers of soft pink tints was carried. After receiving the congratulations of their many friends the happy couple left by motor for a tour of the North Island. The bride chose for her travelling dress beige toned crepe-de-chine, with a tucked skirt] over which was worn a coat of beige marocain with white fox collar and cuffs. A straw hat, and lizard shoes finished the charming toilette. Guests present included Mr. and Mrs K. J. Harris, Mr and Mrs. L. E. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. R. Buddo. Mr. and Mrs. E.
