BLACKBERRY NUISANCE

EXPERIMENTS AT PAKOWHAI, SAID TO BE A SUCCESS. At today's meeting of the Hawke's Bay Rivers Board, the overseer (Mr P. Scullin) report ed that the treatment of the blackbery patch at Pakowhal by Mr Cordon of Hastings, appearsd to bo most effective. The chairman (M( J. A. Miller) pointed out that the growth of grass had not been interfered with. In every wav he considered the experiment had been a great success. It was decided to advise the Department regarding this experiment and ask that it should be inspected.
