WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION
HASTINGS BRANCH The fortnightly meeting of the Hastings Branch Committee of fhe Hawke's Bay War Relief Association was held yesterday. Present: Messrs G Ebbett (chair), J. H. Colebourno, “art, H Holderness and W. J. White . the applications considered by the committee eleven grants amounting to £lll 10/-. and two loans amounting to £42 were authorised, and two grants totalling £3O and three loans totalling £145 were recommended to the provincial executive of the association A statement of payments and receipts for the month of November showing grants to soldiers and dependents totalling £ll3 3/1, loans £627 11 5. payments on account of other societies £5 and repayments £423 7/3. was placed betore the ifleeting and approved.
