RAILWAY CROSSING

COUNTY COUNCIL SUPPORTS PROTEST. Action in support of the protest made at a recent public meeting in Waipukurau as to the danger at the Ruataniwha street railway crossing was taken at the monthly meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council on Saturday, when Cr. A. C. Russell (chairman) moved resolutions similarly worded to those carried on Wednesday night, Cr. L. M. Monckton seconding. The motions were carried unanimously, the opinion being expressed that the Waipukurau Borough Council should not be called upon to finance a national undertaking.
