RIFLE SHOOTING

TRIANGULAR TEAMS MATCH. WAIPUKURAU A WINS. Although weather conditions were extremely trying, a very enjoyable day was spent at Roy’s Hill during the week-end, when a teams match between Waipukurau, Napier and Okawa Clubs took plate, and resulted in a win for Waipukurau A team, with Napier A runners-up. The shooting generally was not up to the usual, standard, a bright light and rear fish-tail wind proving most disconcerting to the majority of marksmen. The highest individual scorers for the respective clubs were F. Fryer (Waipukurau) 94, L. Profitt (Napier) 90 and A. Chambers (Okawa) 89. Detailed scores were as follows:— WAIPUKURAU A.

Total 379 WAIPUKURAU CLUB. L. J. TAYLOR’S FINE SCORE. On Saturday afternoon the Waipukurau Rifle Club fired round 2 of the Chandler Rose Bowl competition. The best score was that L. J. Taylor, with 70 out of 75, a very fine one considering the conditions. The details are as follow: —
