LECKIE v. GRIFFITHS. HOLDER RETAINS HIS TITLE. Dunedin, Dec. 3. The professional feather-weight contest for the championship of New Zealand between Johnny Leckio, holder (Dunedia) and Tommy Griffiths (Dunedin was fought last night in the Kcnsingt’j Drill Hall before an attendance ei hmated at 3000. Kilmartin, who refereed, decided in favour of Lcgkic after, the contest had gone the full 15 rounds, but the margin in the winner’s favour must have been small. A purse of £l5O was at stake.
