ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Shortly before midnight on Saturday. a young man named John Edward Sullivan was picked up at Northland, Wellington, in an unconscious condition. There was no sign of injuries on the body, and the cause of his condition is not known, last night he had shown little improvement. Poisoning as a result of taking nitric acid was responsible for the admission of a young man named Bruce Clarke to the Wellington Hospistal at about 7.15 p.m. on Saturday. Clarke is a carpenter residing at 52 Overton Terace, and last night his condition was serious. Suffering from severe injuries to his hip through falling on the clack of the steamer Wailaki, berthed alongside the Wharf at Miramar. Wellington, an able seaman named William Soutar was taken to the Wellington Hospital at about midday on Saturday. Soutar, whose home is at 9 Huis street. Devonport, Auckland, is making satisfactory progress.
