Taradale Public Library,—At the monthly meeting of the Taradale Public Library management committee, the following members were present: —Mesdames R, J. Campbell, E. Bennett, M. Eden, A. Tucker. Miss R. Martin. Messrs B. Tunnicliffe (chairman)', C. H. Williams. W. Jackson. O. Anderson, J. Williamson (secretary). The secretary reported the gross proceeds of the recent entertainment to be £l5 8s and the nett returns £ll 6s. Mr Tunnicliffe reported quotations for letter paper. Mrs Eden gave a satisfactory report of a visit paid by Mrs Bennett and herself. It was stated that quite a num ber of subscribers were willing to pay an extra fee for an additional volume per issue. Messrs Jackson and Anderson were appointed visitors for the month.
