BURGLARS MAKE ANOTHER RAID. £3O WORTH GOODS STOLEN. Christchurch December 2. “The Borers,” the gang of burglars who have been operating for some months, made another raid last night, when they took goods worth nearly £3O from the tobacconist shop of J W Townsend at Woolston. It is estimated that “The Borers” have now stolen goods of a total value ol £l5OO. The detectives cannot find where the goods are being disposed of.

This gang lias been referred to in Christchurch. papers as “The Borers.” their mode of entrance being to bore a series of holes with a brace and bit in the door and remove a whole section.
