The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 30th ulto., last quotations in parenthesis. At the Timaru Magistrate’s Court Leslie Alwyn Olson McKenzie, was charged with breaking prison at Timaru on November 27 and with the theft of two blankets, one overcoat, and other articles of a total value of £5. On the charge of breaking g.i he was sentenced to three yeasr Borstal treatment, to be current with his previous sentence and on the charges of theft was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called on. This means an additional sentence of one year. The best polish for floors, linoleums, and furniture is “TAN-OL.” Easy to apply, and gives a longer shine. Does not smear. All grocers.
