TOP-DRESSING EXPERIMENTS
FARMING DEVELOPMENT CO. FIELD DAY FOR FARMERS. In connection with top-dressing experiments, the Hawke’s Bay Farming Development Association wrote to tho Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society today advising that a series df experiments was how being carried out at various centres in the Hawke’s Bav •istrict under the direction of Dr. Freeman, acting on behalf of the Department of Agriculture. The letter advised that it was suggested by Dr. 1 Freeman that a field day should be held in order that farmers should have an opportunity of inspecting the various paddocks treated- and observing the results obtained. Un Mr. H. A. Russell’s suggestion, it was decided that a sub-committee consisting of Messrs R. j> Tod, 11. A. Absolom G. R. Beamish, and W. W. Smart should confer with the association with regard to tlie developing of top-dressing. It was further agreed that the pro. posed field day should be held on Thursday next. December 8
