Amateur Athletic Club j FINE PROGRAMME DRAWN UP. The Clive Amateur Athletic Club has drawn up a comprehensive programme for its inaugural gathering on December 2?th. Five bicycle races are included, three wrestling events, three ladies’ sprints, a mile walk for men and a half-mile walk for boys. Included in the running events are the 440 hurdles, a mixed relay race the last 100 yards of which is to be completed by ladies, 100yds novice, 220 and 440 yards and 1 mile flat The field events comprise the hop. step and jump, high jump, throwing the javelin, tossing the sheaf, throw mg the hammer and putting the shot. Surely a mighty array, but in addi tion 18 events are included for the Boy Scouts. The committee are out to give .visitors every consideration. Hot water will be provided free and the usual refreshment booths will bion the grounds. CHRISTMAS FAIR. The grand Christmas Fair held in connection with the Presbyterian Church was a great success. The Rev R. Waugh, Moderator of the Charge, opened the function, wishing all a successful time. Following are the stall holders :— Drapery, Mrs Heynes; ice cream and flower stall, Mesdames George and Harold Thornton; produce stall, Mrs Tucker; sweets and cake stall, Mrs Hansen and Miss Gregory; fancy still. Mesdames Cartwright and Morgan ; tea rooms, Mesdames Fuller and Gregory. LOYAL CLIVE LODGE M.U. A special meeting of the Loyal dive Lodge, M.U., was held in the Lodge room when P.G. Bro. 8. J. Dockary installed the newly-elected officers into the various chairs. Meetings were fixed in future at 7.31) p.m. on the second Wednesday in every month.
