HASTINGS FIELD DAY VISIT FROM OTHER CLUBS. GOOD GAMES RECORDED. A field day was experienced on the Hastings bowling green yesterday, the three other Hastings clubs having been invited to send tour rinks each totalling 48 players, 12 full rinks being engaged m play. The president (Mr. Bewley) welcomed the visitors and expressed the opinion that more of these friendly games between Hastings clubs should be encouraged in order to foster the spirit of brotherhood and good fellowship amongst bowlers. The weather was perfect and the two greens in good order and most of the games were closely contested. At the close of play the scores were: Hastings 85 against Havelock 73. four rinks; Hastings 86 against Kia Toa 39. three rinks: Hastings 95 against St. Leonard’s 65, four rinks.
