GIRL ASSAULTS A MAN. RUSHED AT HIM WITH A TABLE KNIFE. /Per Press association). Christchurch, Nov. 29. Gladys Victoria Carpenter was fined £2 to-day for assaulting John Sneddon. Tile police said that the girl admitted she had been out to get revenge. The pair had been keeping company, but evidently had parted. While at a dance the girl rushed at Sneddon with a table knife. Counsel for the girl said she had been treated very badly.
