FORMAL OPENING OF PAVILION The pavilion at the recently-formed Hastings Catholic Tennis- Club was formally opened yesterday afternoon by the Rev. Father McDonald, in the presence of a large gathering of members and the public, as well as many visitors from Napier. In declaring the pavilion open Father McDonald congratulated the management of the club on tire rapid progress they had made in such a short time and he expressed the hope that the club would receive general support. Members and visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by the ladies of the club and the -rest of the day was spent very pleasantly in friendly games. The club grounds, situated at the corner of Miller and Victoria streets, are at present occupied by two courts, but a third will be established later.
