DOINGS IN HAWKE’S BAY RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S GAMES. GREENS WELL PATRONISED Bowling was in full swing at all the greens in Hawke’s Bay on Saturday when despite cool weather conditions, there was a good muster of bowlers. Club competitions as will as the usual rinks contests were played, many of the games being excellent ones. HASTINGS CLUB. ST. LEONARD'S. BLUFF HILL VISITORS. Six rinks from Bluff Hill paid a visit to St. Leonard's Club on Saturday last, when they were warmly welcomed by the president (Mr. McMurray) on behalf of the members. A most enjoyable afternoon’s play resulted, the visitors winning by five games to one and on the aggregate by 150 to 96. At the conclusion the president thanked tho teams for their visit, saying that these interclub friendly games did far more than the competitions, when each side only thought of winning. Mr. Douglas, replying for the visitors agreed with Mf. McMurray as to the comradeship inspired by these friendly visits and he thanked St. Leonard members for the hospitality extended to them.
