The sting was taken out of the track by overnight rain. There is another good attendance. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, IJ2B 3-5. Vauxhall Handicap, Second Division.—7 Whaka King (Wiggins) 1, 5 Flitter (Gill) 2, 9 Catapult (Hall) 3. Scratched: Air King, Amos. Won by a head, a neck between second and third. Time, 1.29. Stanley Handicap.—l Royal Boulton (McCormac) 1, 10 Lady Robinson (Mackie) 2, 6 King Arch (Tinker) 3. Scratched: Golden Wedding. Illingar, Desert Knight, Dimmer, Catapult, Toku Taia. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 1.29 2-5. At the termination of the flat racing season the principal winning owners are Lord Derby with 18 horses, who won £47,000 in 37 races; Viscount Astor, with five horses, who won £29,975 in 10 races. The principal trainers are Frank Butters, who, with 26 horses, won £56.531 in 54 races, and Alec Taylor, who, with 29 horses, won £55,659 in 47 races.
