RIFLE SHOOTING
OKAWA DEFENCE CLUB. RIVERS CUP. The Okawa Club fired the first round for the Rivers Cup at Roy's Hill during the week-end, over ranges 300 yards and 500 yards. Weather conditions were good, with a gentle left breeze, varying a degree or two at interval's. At 300 yards,' F. E. Humphreys, who has been showing excellent form during the season, registered top score with 46, F.' T. White and J. F. Hallagan with 45, being next best. After lunch the 500 yards range was commenced, and here again Humphreys returned, the best range score with 46, giving him top score off the rifle for the day with an excellent total of 92. W. J. Green was the only other competitor to master the conditions at this range, with 45. The following are tho detailed scores: —
