The value of a clever name is now recognised by manufacturers and business men as being a very necessary factor of successful marketing. Up to a few years ago it was a comparatively simple matter to secure a striking name for a product. These » days, however, keen competition has made it decidedly difficult for a manufacturer to hit on something unique and “attention getting” as a suitable name to advertise a new production. Our readers will have noticed advertisements offering a cheque for £lOO to the person who suggests the most suitable name for H.B. “New Tailored Suits.” This is undoubtedly a splendid method of securing a really first-class name. On making enquiries from this local branch, the manager, Mr. Parsons, informed us that the Competition is creating the keenest interest. The “New Tailored Suits” for which the name is required is an entirely new production in ready-to-wear clothing for men. Many new style features are introduced and many details in suit-making hitherto neglected in ready-to-wear garments •re very apparent. Mr. Parsons informed us that the Competition • definitely closes on 31st December, 1927, and is open to all, with the exception of H.B employees. All local residents desirous of competing shall call at the H.B. store and personally inspect the new Tailored Suits. This will assist greatly in securing a name that will adequately express the style and perfect cut of each gament.* “BELL’S” IS CONSISTENTLY GOOD. Tho quality of Arthur Bell’s Perth Whisky never changes. It is guar anteed by the signature on the ye., label to bo always the best. Fully matured, and absolutely pure, ‘ Bell’» has a rich creamy flavour that ap peals to the connoisseur and “ama teur” alike. AU Hotels and Spirit Merchants.
