GILES PROTESTS

IMPUTATIONS OF WEATHER BUREAU. BRITISH EMBASSY PERPLEXED. BN INQUIRY TO BE HELD. [By Cable — Press Assn. - Copyright.) (Received 26, 9.30 a.m.) Washington, Nov. 25. The British Embassy has received a telegram from Giles protesting against the reported imputations o. the San Francisco Weather Bureau against his story that bad weather forced him back to California. Giles sought redress for the remarks as a British citizen but the Embassy is puzzled as to what to do in the situation. It is understood that Giles commented sharply on the forecasters. Major Bowie and T. Reed. The British Embassy announced today that it would take no official action. At the request of Giles an inquiry will be opened to determine the weather conditions during the recent flight.—(A., and N.Z.)
