A NOVEL REQUEST
GREEKS WANT CANBERRA WHEAT SEED. WORK FOR REFUGEES. (Received 22, 12.30 p.m.) London, Nov. 21. One of the most novel requests ever made to a New South Wales Agent-General comes from the Greek Legation, asking for WOO tons of Canberra wheat seed with the object of providing work and crops for Greek refugees driven out of Asia in war time. The Legation last year asked Lord Chelmsford for an order of 2000 tons and he replied it was over late, but they requested permission to place an order in 1927. No more was heard about it until to-day’s request. It is most unlikely that it can he f'dfiiled at present.—(A. ami N.Z.)
