FARMERS’ UNION

H.B. WOMEN’S DIVISION, The Women’s Division of the Hawke’s Bay Branch of the Farmers’ Union met on Thursday last in the Chamber of Commerce Mrs D. J. Riggir. the president, being in the chair. Mrs Joll, hon. secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting which were duly carried. A case of distress was discussed during the afternoon, and the members of the union ar e organising some practical help. Mrs Harris entertained those present with a clever little explanation of paper flower making. I n December Lady Hunter is coming to give a demonstration of making Christmas presents. This afternoon will be advertised later and all members and their friends will be invited. During the afternoon tea was -dspensed by Mrs McLaren and Mrs McLennan.
