SAFETY OF LIFE AT SEA
•REVISION OF CONVENTION. BOARD OF TRADE PROPOSALS (Received 19, 8.55 a.m.) London, Nov. 17. Proposals framed by the Board of Trade for revision of the international convention of 1914 on the safety of life at sea, are being forwarded to the Dominions and foreign countries who are signatories, for comment.. It is hoped that replies by the end of March will indicate whether they are favourable to the meeting in London in the autumn of 1928 for the purpose of amend ),; the convention. The Board of Trade’s proposals relate to life-saving, wireless, fire extinguishing, ice patrol, and collision regulations.—(A. and N.Z.)
