CANADA AND BRITAIN.

UNRESTRICTED SCHEME,

(Received Is, 10.5 a.m.) London, Nov. 17. As a result of an iytei’-provincial conference the Canadian Government is embarking on a new and unrestricted migration scheme with Britain based on nomination firstly, by friends, and secondly, descriptive nomination, whereby an employer applies for workers whom he wishes to settle in Canada. This involves a large increase in the migration staff in London.

Responsible persons and organisations and emigration societies, provided thev are able to settle migrants can carry out the bulk of the nomination until May 15, 1928.—(“Times” cable.)
