LATE CABLES IN BRIEF.
Motor Cycles Substitute Cavalry.— Following military tests of motor cycles the French War Ministry is organising an experimental body of 400 motor cyclists as a substitute for a cavalry unit. .
The old Weatralia.— The steamer Westralia, well known on the New Zealand coast, has been sold to be used as a hulk for the storage of copra at Rabaul.
"The Sentimentalists.’’— The American, Cecil de Mille, has bought the film rights of the Australian journalist, Dale Collins’, new book "The Sentiinentalists.”
Ransom Paid— lt is believed that the ransom paid for the six French captives in Morocco is 8,000,000 francs.
