COMPANION SEMI-CONSCHOUS. '

(Received 18. 10.15 a.m.) Brisbane, November 18. Miss Miller and a man named Vaughan went for a drive in a motorcar on Wednesday night, and as they did not return, the police were informed’. In the morning a search was instituted, and the empty car located at the side of a road. The girl’s body was in a gully nearby. She had been shot in the head, ana apparently had been dead some time. Vaughan was found in a semi-con-scious state about 80 yards away. He is in a serious condition and unable to make a statement.
