(Received 16, 11.45 a.m.) London, Nov. 15. “I cannot stick seeing an old war horse like Rhodes passed over,” says S. E. Grimshaw, a member of the Yorkshire Club who is organising a postcard ballot of the 7,000 members on the question of professional captaincy and also on whether they prefer Rhodes or Sutcliffe. Grimshaw adds that it is daily becoming more apparent that the Club blundered colossally in not consulting the members before departing from a custom of 45 years.—(A.P.A. and “Sun” cable).
