Again there was a comparatively big yarding ot fat and store cattle at Waipukurau to-day and a small yarding of sheep. The fat cattle were <>t distinctly better quality and finish than those offered through these yards for some time past, resulting in greatly improved competition and prices, life store cattle yarded were also of good quality and prices show a distinctly hardening tendency. Only one or two pens of store sheep were offered, 2-ths off shears finding a good market. FAT CATTLE. Cows: Prime £7 7/6 to £B, medium £6 8/6 to £6 18/6, light £5 8/6. unfinished £4.
