SWIMMING.

HERETAUNGA CLUB.

COMMITTEE MEETING

A committee meeting was held last evening, Mr. A. Mclvor presiding, there also being present Messrs. It Pickard, W. Hood, W. Lewis, D. Mclvor, H. Poppelwell, D. Graham and W. West.

It was decided to carry on with the opening programme next Friday night. Further entries will be taken up to Wednesday next. It was reported that some 20 Napier swimmers would be coming out and arrangements were made to entertain the visitors at supper.

An invitation was received from the Mahora Club lor their opening night on Thursday next. The sub-committee set up to revise the club rules notified the committee that they would submit them at the next meeting. It was reported that the club’s notice board had been erected on the Hastings Hotel. It was left in the hands of Mr. Pickard to procure a notice stating the hours ami privileges of the Club.
